Jessie Shaffer is a classically trained violinist, self-trained singer, mandolinist, and guitarist whose approach to music making can be both sassy and emotive, with a fondness for dissonance, rich vocal layering and unconventional percussive elements such as pinwheels and knitting needles. Shaffer is currently working on her second solo album, scheduled for release in autumn of 2012.
